Project Idea
This project focuses on developing a simulation model for a basic hydraulic system. The system consists of:
-
Hydraulic Tank: Acts as the fluid reservoir.
-
Filter: Ensures clean hydraulic fluid circulation.
-
Pump: Supplies pressurized hydraulic fluid to the system.
-
Suction Valve: Controls the suction flow from the tank to the pump.
-
Directional Control Valve: Directs fluid flow either towards the cylinder or back to the tank.
-
Hydraulic Cylinder: Performs linear motion (extension and retraction) based on valve control.
The main objective of the project is to simulate the fluid flow and control process in order to demonstrate how hydraulic components work together to operate a cylinder.
The cylinder’s movement can be used to represent a simple mechanical task, such as lifting a load, pushing an object, or any linear mechanical action.
This simulation project provides a clear understanding of:
-
Hydraulic fluid flow and pressure distribution.
-
Control of cylinder motion through valves.
-
The interaction between different components in a closed-loop hydraulic circuit.
The project is designed to visualize and analyze hydraulic operations in an educational and practical context, making it useful for students and engineers learning about hydraulic systems.
